Head Chef - Iconic Hotel in Onslow, WA - Immediate Start

Extend Oz is currently looking to engage an innovative and hardworking Head Chef to work full time in an iconic hotel for one of our hospitality clients based in Onslow, WA.
 
You will help in ensuring that all food preparation, presentation and service are of excellent quality all the time.
The position will suit an enthusiastic and professional person who is able to work in a team environment whilst playing a vital role in delivering and presenting high quality food. You will be in control of all kitchen operations for the hotel. You will be responsible for all food products and menus to be of a high standard and for the profitability of all food operations.
 
We are looking for someone to take ownership of the kitchen with great pride in their work from both a product and a business perspective.
 
Duties and Responsibilities:

• Manage, develop and lead the kitchen team. 
• Experience in running high-volume kitchens in a similar environment
• Full responsibility for preparation, cooking, and presentation of meals. 
• Develop innovative food offerings, providing feedback and ideas to management.
• Coordinate rosters, training, and other admin duties.
• P&L responsibilities for payroll and food costs.

• Ability to manage WHS requirements.
• The ability to work under pressure.
• Strong leadership skills and the ability to mentor staff at a lower level.
• Uncompromising attitude towards high food quality, presentation and safety.
• Strong communication skills, grace under pressure and an active team player.
• Excellent planning skills and the ability to think on your feet, strong food knowledge.
• Trade qualifications or equivalent work experience ( at least 3 years)
