Job Description (daily duties, special requirements and any relevant experience necessary)

Extend Oz is currently looking to engage an experienced Cook / Kitchen hand to join a busy organic Cafe serving delicious salads and meals based in Melbourne CBD.

Need someone with at least two years experience cooking.

Duties and responsibilities include:
Setting up, cleaning and organising work stations.
Excellent knife skills and attention to detail in food preparation
Strong knowledge of proper food handling procedures.
Assisting other cooks in preparing food or helping other team members when needed.
Able to work in a fast paced team environment.
Able to multitask, prioritize and manage time efficiently
Ability to create salads.
Taking orders from customers
Excellent communication skills
Cafe industry experience and a passion for food and strong customer service
A person who can add to our menu and take a lead in supporting our kitchen staff
Must be able to work early morning and week ends
Assist team in clean up at end of day.

Position offers generous hourly rate with possibility of moving up to supervisory role for the right person.
